Craig supported his local Leisure Centre to hold a Swimathon in 2019 and over 30 swimmers participated in the event at the venue. Over £35,000 was raised for Cancer Research UK across the 37 venues in Wales that opened their doors to swimmers to participate, funds well in excess of the venue average of £968 were raised at the Heolddu venue so it was a great success for the charities, organisers and participants, all of whom should be congratulated.
Craig said: “I would like to thank everyone who donated to Cancer Research UK and for their messages of support, it really is appreciated. It was great to see my children putting the effort in again, they should be proud of the contribution they have made to the charities through their continued participation, well done kids! I would also like to thank the event organisers and my fellow participants who made the event a memorable success.”
There is still an opportunity for those who have yet to donate to do so, it’s not too late to support our chosen charity. Any additional donations are welcomed and appreciated – click here to donate https://www.justgiving.com/Craig-Jones2019

Swimming is great way to keep fit, it is a low impact activity that helps reduce obesity, improves muscular strength and relieves stress, entering next year’s Swimathon provides an incentive to keep healthy and supports the raising of charitable funds in parallel.
