Craig is responsible for culturing a centre of excellence for quality and has over 25 years’ experience in the asbestos management industry.

Craig began his career as a self-employed Occupational Hygienist providing asbestos and environmental management services to a major risk management and utilities business. Craig delivered on site consultancy services on numerous major projects for an eight year period throughout the UK before joining National Britannia as a Project Manager for a local authority commission in 2000.

Craig was promoted to Operations Manager (Wales & West England) in 2002 where he was responsible for the direct line management of 30 staff and the successful growth of the regional business.

Following the inception of Santia in 2011, Craig was promoted to Regional Operations Manager for the South of the UK to lead the intra company harmonisation process and implementation of the “One Business, One Solution” vision.

The acquisition of First Order Red Ltd in 2013 resulted in Craig taking the Head of Operations role to lead the integration process and improve the performance of the asbestos division.

Following successful harmonisation, restructure and growth of the business, Craig took the role of Managing Director of Santia Asbestos Management Ltd and is presently implementing new initiatives to successfully achieve the business vision.

Married with a young and active family, Craig devotes his spare time supporting his children’s involvement with various sporting clubs and competitions, he maintains his own fitness by swimming most evenings.

As the head of our industry leading team of specialists, Liam is responsible for the provision of a best in class service to our customers. Delivering technical services across a diverse range of properties, sectors and hazardous environments is challenging, especially when combined with fluctuating requirements for our services. Liam’s background and experience combined with his affinity for leadership enable us to overcome these challenges, ensuring that we deliver a consistently reliable, high quality service.

Liam was promoted to Head of Operations in 2016 following a successful and longstanding career with the business, spanning more than 15 years. Liam originally joined the business from the construction industry in 2002, and fulfilled a number of field based roles including Surveyor/ Analyst and Project Manager.

Liam’s technical knowledge and experience combined with his passion and flair for people saw a natural progression into senior customer facing roles resulting in the creation, management and retention of some of our most prestigious national accounts.

Alexis is a qualified accountant with over 16 years’ experience in accounting and finance.  Using her expertise in systems, business integration, and strategic modelling, Alexis is currently responsible for leading the separation of the accounting and finance systems from Alcumus as Santia becomes a fully standalone business. Alexis is also responsible for HR and IT; essential to the two most important facets of our business – people and systems.

Graduating with a BSc Applied Accounting (1st Class Hons) and an MSc Accounting (Distinction), Alexis started her career at Companies House, followed by several years in the private sector advising UK businesses on financial management and accounting software. Alexis joined Connaught Compliance in 2010 as a Senior Finance Analyst, initially involved with the administration and creation of Connaught to Santia. Progressing to Head of Business Information, Alexis implemented an ERP system and reporting structure during 2011 and 2012. In 2013 Alexis was promoted to Financial Controller and was heavily involved in the acquisition of First Order Red Ltd by Santia Asbestos Management Ltd and the subsequent sale of the Santia Group to Alcumus in 2015. After becoming the Alcumus Financial Controller in 2016, Alexis was promoted to her current position of Finance Director for Santia Asbestos Management Ltd in April 2017 following our separation from Alcumus.

Amy leads our business development team to identify and understand the needs of new customers, secure and grow contracts to protect their organisation from the risks associated with property management. Amy’s team is responsible for the generation of new business, including marketing and tendering for national contracts. Amy is also tasked with the ongoing development of our proposition as our services evolve in response to changing customer needs.

Amy has 20 years’ experience in customer facing roles, with 16 years in the asbestos management industry. With previous roles including Head of Bids and Marketing, Principal Consultant and Business Development Director, Amy clearly understands customer value, has secured and managed significant regional and national asbestos contracts and has an excellent track record of customer satisfaction and retention.

Amy started her career in asbestos management at a regional consultancy after graduating from Cardiff University in 2004. Amy undertook various roles including Laboratory Bulk Analyst, Surveyor and Quality Manager before becoming responsible for the business and its development for 6 years. During this time the business grew to a turnover of £2m and had a reputation for outstanding customer service.

Paul’s team are tasked with maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Each Key Account Manager has a detailed understanding of each customer’s unique organisation, budgetary and compliance objectives for their property portfolio. Paul’s team design and deliver a tailored service solution with consideration of the organisation’s asbestos management plan, their business systems, staff, contractors and forthcoming major projects.

Paul is also the technical lead for the development and implementation of Santia’s eagerly anticipated new online risk management system, iProtect. As one of the original members of the team which delivered our current system, eRisk, Paul is combining state of the art technology with two decades of experience of asbestos management to launch the next market leading system.

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in the asbestos management industry across a broad range of sectors. Paul started his career as a Laboratory Analyst and Analytical Chemist, followed by 8 years as an Asbestos Surveyor/ Project Manager and 13 years as a Key Account Manager & Principal Consultant. Paul clearly understands the challenges faced by large, multi-faceted national and international organisations with regards to the safe and effective management of asbestos risk, especially across large and diverse property portfolios.

Steve is accountable for leading his team to deliver first class projects, compliant with CAR 2012 and the CDM 2015 Regulations. Steve’s team are responsible for ensuring all technical, quality and compliance activities are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation.  

Steve is accountable for ensuring his team provides the correct technical advice to our customers and wider team, the review, maintenance and update of internal health, safety and environmental management systems. Steve is also accountable for the maintenance of Santia’s NICEIC certification and as a qualified Electrical Engineer, Steve fulfils the appointed person role.  

Steve has vast experience in the compliance industry, after first qualifying as an Electrician in 1994. Steve has worked for UK organisations such as The Royal Mint and Alcumus Group, and global brands including L’Oréal, Princes Ltd and MBDA Missile Systems. Steve has undertaken roles including Production Engineering Manager, SHE & Facilities Manager, CDM Manager, Projects Director & Managing Partner, Head of CDM and UK Health, Safety & Environment Manager. In addition to his technical knowledge and expertise, Steve is a proven leader and has managed national teams to successfully deliver health and safety services directly to customers including John Lewis, HUAWEI, Rolls Royce, Lidl, HSBC and Unilever.

John has nearly 40 years of technical experience in the field of occupational health and safety, specialising in asbestos management for the last 20 years. John is considered a UK expert on asbestos management because of his depth of knowledge, experience and longevity in the field. John has held senior positions at Santia and its former companies for 31 years, including Major Projects Director and Consultancy and Training Director.

John provides expert technical advice and support for our customers, helping them comply with their legal duties in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Some of our customers first approach Santia to seek advice in situations where they suspect a potential breach of their duty to manage. In this situation John can advise and work with the organisation as an enforcement liaison. This approach has resulted in the avoidance of prosecution and enforcement notices. John has also provided expert witness testimony in legal cases regarding asbestos and other occupational hygiene issues.

As part of our training practice, John delivers our UKATA and BOHS approved courses and works with our customers to develop bespoke training solutions. The combination of his professional teaching experience and his depth of technical knowledge ensures that our delegates receive a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, as John is able to draw upon real examples of challenges faced by clients when managing asbestos and how they have overcome them.

Prior to joining the asbestos management industry, John held several positions within the Environmental Health Department of a Local Authority, including Principal Officer for Health, Safety and Environment, Senior Officer and Pollution Control Officer. Before joining the local authority, John began his career as a Science Master at a comprehensive school.

Rob is accountable for the delivery of all mechanical and electrical work provided as part of Santia’s turn-key solution. Rob specialises in leading cross-functional technical teams and has delivered significant projects within the automotive, aviation, manufacturing and construction industries.

Rob has 15 years’ experience across multiple sectors. Rob began his career as an apprentice electrician and since qualifying in 2010, has held positions including M&E Technician, Manufacturing Engineer, CAPEX Lead Project Engineer and a CAPEX MEP Project Manager. Rob has delivered works on many high-profile sites including Irelands National football Stadium, Terminal 2 at Dublin International Airport and a leading automotive manufacturing site in Liverpool. Rob has been part of the delivery team for many successful projects including a jet engine test cell for Lufthansa Technik and a £17 million upgrade to infrastructure for the launch of a luxury 4×4 vehicle which was an integral part of a £250 million program of works.

Having worked client-side for over 7 years, Rob joined Santia in 2019 to form our first M&E division as part of the development of our turn-key solution. Rob’s knowledge and understanding of client needs and expectations of suppliers has provided unique insight into customer value which is incorporated into the ongoing evolution of our service offering.
